Dear book pirates,

I know you’re out there. Swashing your virtual buckles. Riding the high seas of electronic theft. Somehow getting a rogue paperback version of my book, HUNTRESS, listed on Amazon. I’d tell you that I’ve filed a dozen complaints to Amazon, but you already know the ZON hasn’t kicked you off (yet!) because your content is still up there, only with a launch date that’s one month after my real launch date. And somehow, you’re also pulling content updates from my legit draft print version right into your rogue bullshit. Nice trick!

So here’s my fair warning. I’ve uploaded a copy of Angelbound in CHINESE to my draft print version of HUNTRESS. Pull that in, fuckers! Try to sell it! I even put in a dedication (in English) explaining to readers that this a pirated version and to complain and get their refund. Bwah hah hah!

I also-ALSO created a special edition of HUNTRESS with extra images and that’s generated by someone who’s NOT Amazon so you can’t hack the platform for the real info. Because guess what I did in my day job for decades? Cyber security. I know you can’t hack into a new system in two seconds. Here’s the result:

Now, this could all be a big misunderstanding. You might be legitimately trying to do something else and just so happened to somehow get a listing for my book on Amazon with random auto updates. But you’re still going to pull the Chinese version of Angelbound down and face the consequences. Because whether you’re evil or lazy, it’s always a good time for a learning moment. Which, in this case, is either telling you to “stop being a pirate” or to “start paying better attention at work.”

And for my legit readers, you can get my new and enhanced HUNTRESS book (with extra pictures!) from an unrelated printer that’s now only sold through Amazon. Just click on the link that’s selling right now or enter this code into the Amazon search bar:

On a final note, this is a rather extreme scheme, dear pirates. You’ve got some serious skills. I sincerely hope you can focus them somewhere else one day. Imagine the great things you might accomplish.

Fuck you again,

Christina Bauer
